No. The app is fully offline. All question banks, mock exams, and statute reference materials are bundled with the app. No Wi-Fi or cellular connection is required at any time.
The Statute Reference section is a collection of 10 themed legal quick-reference tables compiled from New York Executive Law Article 6 (Department of State) and related notary statutes. It is accessible from the Profile tab and is designed to help you quickly look up key notary provisions while studying.
All practice records, wrong-answer logs, favorites, and exam history are stored locally on your device using Apple's secure sandbox, encrypted with CryptoKit. No cloud upload, no account registration, and no analytics are involved.
NY Notary Prep is a one-time purchase app managed by the Apple App Store. On a new device signed in with the same Apple ID, simply download the app from your purchased apps list. No in-app purchase, no subscription, and no restore button are needed.
Go to Profile → Settings → Reset All Progress. This permanently clears all answered questions, wrong answers, favorites, and exam history. This action cannot be undone.

By downloading, installing, or using NY Notary Prep (hereinafter referred to as "the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please delete the App from your device.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on iOS devices that you own or control, solely for personal, non-commercial study purposes.
Study Features:
All features are unlocked with a single App Store purchase. There are no tiers, no subscriptions, and no in-app purchases.
5.1 Purchase Model
The App is a one-time paid download on the Apple App Store. There are no subscription cycles, no auto-renewal, no hidden fees, and no in-app purchases. Once you download the App, you have permanent access to all features on the current device.
5.2 Transaction Processing
All payments are processed securely by Apple through the App Store. We do not see, store, or transmit any of your payment information. Apple's own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy govern the purchase transaction.
All intellectual property rights in and to the App and its content (including but not limited to question bank data, interface design, textual explanations, icons, statute reference tables, and layout) are owned by us. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App (including but not limited to exam failures, loss of study time, or data loss). The App is provided "as is" without any express or implied warranties.
The App may reference official institutions (such as the New York Department of State) and external websites for informational purposes only. We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of these third-party websites.
